First item: winter swim - do this right away; second item: All Stars Relays sign up, please read below. But sign up right after filling out the winter swim survey.

First, I need to gauge interest in winter swim ASAP because the application is due July 10. We might be able to have Coaches Catherine, Kay, and Leana together but we probably have to move to Sunday instead, either 5-6 or 6-7. Please indicate your preferred time(s) and your level of interest at this link, and please do so right away! (All answers are appreciated, but I care more about people participating than not.) It will be roughly the same schedule, first weekend in October or last in September until the weekend before the pool opens in May. The cost will probably be roughly the same, $300 for the first swimmer, $275 for the second, and $250 for the third.

Second, ASR. REMEMBER, All Stars Relays, unlike other swim team volunteering, counts toward your work hours. We really need the newer families to step up and volunteer; last year, it was mostly existing, long-time members, and we need to spread the burden. For second year and beyond families, this is a late-season chance to get all your work hours. For new families and those already fulfilling your hours, we still need your help for this major fundraiser.

On Wednesday, July 17th, LPRC will host the NVSL's All Stars Relays Meet; see below for details. But we need volunteers before, during and after the eventand we need people willing to take a leadership role as coordinators. We also need help moving bleachers (sign up at the links above), both through your muscle (probably the Sunday afternoon before, the Tuesday before, the night of around 8PM, and both the day after and the weekend after) and through your full-sized pickup trucks, trailers, and dollies. (Please email me if you can lend these items.) Finally, we need coolers lent (labeled with your name) the night before, preferably filled with ice if you are feeling particularly generous (the ice machines are still being repaired) for our concessions stand. Feel free to sign up right away or to email me with questions, or see below for more detail. NOTE: I came to swim families first because this is a swim meet, but also because swim families are the core of our membership. WORK AT THIS EVENT DOES COUNT TOWARDS YOUR WORK HOURS, but I ask (beg) swim families to volunteer whether or not they need additional work hours, or to consider doing more than the 4 hours required. While new families are exempt from the work requirement, we need you to sign up also. This fundraiser is critical for ongoing repair and improvement efforts at LPRC.
