While I sit here watching it rain and listening to it thunder instead of evaluating Little Lazers, I figured I'd announce Tiny Lazers and Swim Lessons sign up. Details below:

Tiny Lazers: This is group lessons for 2 and 3 year olds with 1 coach for every 2 swimmers, immediately following our morning practice 10:45AM-11:15AM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday starting June 15th and going to July 21st or 22nd. The charge will be $15 per session. (We've had inquiries about those younger than 2 but for insurance reasons we can't offer lessons of any kind to kids that young. Getting them comfortable in the water is the best practice for younger kids.) A sign up genius is here; Please note: I am offering this to swim families first but we will soon let all of membership sign up; also, to start, please sign up for only one slot per week, per swimmer. I want to offer this broadly but if we end up with empty slots, I'll allow more than one sign up per week.

Individual Lessons: We're going to have online sign up for individual lessons this year in an attempt to be more organized than in previous years. First you will fill out an online form at this link giving us information about your swimmer and goals. Then, Catherine will refer you to one of our coaches she deems most appropriate for your swimmer's needs. (Of course, if things aren't working out, you can switch.) Then, you will arrange through an online booking system individual lessons with the coaches. Payment and scheduling will be between you and the coaches once you're referred. Lessons are usually half an hour and the going rate is between $20 and $25 for that session, although highly experienced coaches may charge more. These lessons can be for younger swimmers not old enough for Little Lazers or can be for swim team members looking to get one-on-one instruction or for kids not on swim team who want to learn how to swim or to get good enough to join the team. As before, swim team families get first dibs but the sign up will be extended to all members soon.
