Hi again,

We just received a flash flood warning, and the radar indicates that the storms are "training", which, for those of you who are not weather nerds like me, is when they just line up one after the other and dump inches of rain on places. So, I doubt the pool will open at all today, and therefore practice is cancelled for tonight, Thursday, June 2nd, both 5PM and 6PM. No further announcements about tonight, even if I got it wrong, we already told the coaches not to come.

Remember that we don't have practice tomorrow (or next Friday). The pool is just too crowded on Friday nights with the food truck and it was chaos when we tried before.

Finally, we have the carwash at Braddock Baptist Church Saturday and (famous last words) the weather looks perfect. So, please come get your car cleaned; we have a volunteer sign up that's gone around (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a4daea82eabf85-lazers2) so please consider volunteering. (Last minute volunteers welcomed.) We would have made signs for it tonight, and we have kids doing so at home, but if you have some posterboard and markers and your kids need an activity, please make signs. If you'd like to simply donate to the cause, send money in PayPal (marked as "carwash donation") to [email protected].
