Volunteers needed for special jobs for Divisionals! All hands on deck to set up for Divisionals Friday night! Reminder to sign up for winter swim!

    Hi everyone,

    1. Remember that we are hosting Divisionals on Saturday and we have the banquet the same day. We will need all hands on deck as volunteers to cover these events. Please come Friday night around 8PM to help set up the deck!
    2. I need 2 volunteers:
      1. Someone to buy field paint and paint lines on the field on Friday afternoon. Instructions will be provided and you'll be reimbursed for the paint. (We also need you to pick up a big role of caution tape, also reimbursed.) This will fulfill your work hours for 2022. Please contact me for information.
      2. Someone with a largish pickup truck to pick up bleachers from Annandale pool and drop them off after the meet. These bleachers are much smaller than ours so they'll fit in a full size pickup bed. Again, you get work hours and again, contact me for information.
    3. Reminder about Winter swim at The St. James, Saturdays 3-4PM, starting Oct. 1st, ending May 20th, with some weekends off. Coaching led by Coach Catherine and our great coaching staff. Cost is the same as last year: $300 for the first swimmer in a family, $275 for the second, and $250 for any additional swimmers. REGISTER HERE! Right now, this link is exclusive to swim team families and I'll leave it that way for a short time so grab your spot while it's there. I need a head count ASAP because demand is heavy and I'll order more lanes if necessary. However, don't delay because the number of lanes available is not unlimited, so if you wait, you could be out of luck. This program keeps your kids in the water, gets them some exercise, and allows them to progress in swimming over the winter rather than regress. More blah, blah on this below.

Additional Notes on Winter Swim: Remember that this is more like full Lazers practice than like Little Lazers, so a swimmer has to be able to swim multiple lengths (25 yards at TSJ) unassisted (and the water is deep!). If your swimmer was successful at swim practice this summer s/he should be fine for winter swim. Some younger swimmers might also be ready, but check with us first. If you're not sure, email myself or Kate or talk to Coach Catherine and we can figure it out.

    Thanks!
