Volunteers needed for critical positions for the season

    Hi again everyone,

Sorry for multiple emails, but I didn't want the contents of this one to get lost. We have need for several critical volunteer positions for the upcoming season. Please see the list below and consider if you can help Kate and me out - if someone doesn't step up for these positions, we will have to do them. None of them take a ton of time, but if you add any of them to what we already do, it gets overwhelming FAST. Please email me if you're able, and I'll beg for help again after I see who signs up for what tonight. But don't wait! Any volunteering seriously lowers our stress levels.

    The list:

    1. Clerk of course: You get the kids in the right spot on time for their races during a meet. We need several so no one has to do it every week. There is training available for this position, but we can also tell you how to do it. It's a critical position during swim meets to have them move at a good pace.
    2. Car wash coordinator: Organize, find volunteers, and run the car wash, currently scheduled for June 3rd, which I am not too proud to remind you is Kate and my wedding anniversary. Please help!
    3. Pancake breakfast coordinator for our Saturday, June 3rd practice: Organize, find volunteers, and run the pancake breakfast, scheduled for June 3rd. Did I mention that this is Kate and my wedding anniversary? And that Kate has to attend a really, really boring NVSL meeting that morning?
    4. Merchandise manager: Organize the orders, send them off to our vendor (who's super easy to work with), and pass out the goodies.
    5. Social coordinator: Organize fun events to break up the monotony of the swim season. We're happy to consult on events, but you have a fair amount of autonomy on what to organize, and when.
    6. Volunteer coordinator for A meets: Find volunteers to fill out the positions of need for our A meets. This is a big deal, and if Kate doesn't have help with it, the season is a slog.
    7. Photographer: If anyone has a really nice camera and some (or even better, professional) skill using it, the photographer we used last year can't help us this year, and almost every team is having trouble finding pros to take the picture. At a minimum, we want to take a really nice team picture. We prefer this to happen at the last home A meet, but we can work with your schedule.

For now, that's it. Please step up and help! Happy to answer questions.
