Hi everyone,

Important note, before I get started: For anyone who hasn’t signed up for swim team yet, while there is no deadline, I urge you to sign up right now, but no later than May 1 or 2. At that point, we will start seriously sending out notifications about the upcoming season and if you’re not signed up, you might miss them!

First merchandise is ready and the store is open! Order lots of stuff! Due to popular demand, we are offering both latex and silicone caps but we'll have to hit minimums in both. Note that the deadline for orders is May 8th so that everyone receives their merchandise before time trials. Don't delay! For those who have been on the team for a while, we are changing our ordering process: the distributor will send the merchandise directly to your home rather than us getting it and handing it out. Thankfully. Swimsuits are sold separately from all other merchandise, so they are not listed on this website.

Second, pizza with the coaches has been rescheduled to May 9th, 6:30-8PM at LPRC! Sorry, my life was just too busy to get it scheduled as originally announced. Whether you're new to swimming or an old hand, come meet the coaches and get tons of information about the upcoming season! We will feed you (pizza and ice cream), so we need an RSVP at this link. We traditionally have donated the food so donations toward food cost gratefully accepted.

Third, the LPRC 2022 Team Leadership meeting is tentatively (re)scheduled to occur at LPRC on Thursday, May 16th at 6:30PM. It might slip a week, so that's why we're in the "tentative" category, and I'm guessing it will last no longer than an hour. We will plan for the season in an attempt to get organized, which is critical given the growing size of the team. We'll feed you with sandwiches and dessert from Wegman's, which are both quite good. As a result, I will need RSVPs, but I'll send that out once I firm up the schedule.

Finally, we plan on having our car wash fundraiser on Saturday, June 1st at Braddock Baptist Church, probably 11AM-1PM. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, raising hundreds of dollars, and we really need someone to step up ASAP to fill the role of car wash coordinator. It's a light lift and I'll help, but I need someone to take the lead because we'll also have our only Saturday practice of the season that day, along with a pancake breakfast to celebrate. (We'll need volunteers for that event also.)
