Sorry if you're seeing this multiple times, but our winter swim program had an exciting event over the weekend that bears repeating - they were able to meet Katie Ledecky at their regular winter swim practice (pictures attached). Our kids were asked to "accommodate an Olympian" and switch up their lane configuration, and I literally said, "Well, this had better be Katie Ledecky" and it was. Coach Catherine had some sort of association with her and Katie graciously took pictures with the entire team and with every kid individually who wanted to. It was a thrilling moment for everyone, and it just goes to show for families who might be on the fence about whether to sign up or not for swim team: join the team and/or participate in winter swim and maybe you'll get lucky and meet a swimming legend!
