Hi everyone,

Sorry for many emails, but Kate, Catherine, and I are enjoying our relative time availability this season to get things organized so the season runs smoothly. Here are the updates (and the team schedule on the website has been updated; someone was brave enough to click the "Subscribe" link on that page and everything was magically added to her calendar):

1. I'm very sorry, but I had to reschedule the leadership meeting to Saturday, May 18th at LPRC at 6PM, following our last winter swim session. As before, it's at LPRC. We will plan for the season and we'll feed you with sandwiches, salad, and dessert from Wegman's, which are quite good. As a result, I need RSVPs, which can be accessed at this link. Please change your RSVP if this changes your ability to come, and apologies if this messes up your schedule.
2. MERCHANDISE STORE CLOSES TONIGHT! Here's the link.
3. Pizza with the coaches RSVP is closed. Please note that I am aware that there is the possibility of severe thunderstorms, and the backup location is Braddock Baptist Church. Watch your email - it may be a gametime decision.
4. June 1st will be a busy day! Please note the events that day, but please also note that due to everything else, we WILL NOT have a Saturday morning practice and pancake breakfast that day. We just don't have the capacity to manage it all.
   1. NVSL University is that morning! While there are other days to get training, I think you can get everything this day. Here is the schedule. If you have any questions about what we need or what to train for, email Kate.
   2. We have a mandatory Coach Training that morning. If your swimmer has been hired as a coach, they must be there absolutely no later than 8AM!
   3. We will have transitional assessments that morning, 8-9AM. If you have a swimmer who hasn't been assessed by the coaches and you're not sure whether they're a Little Lazer/Transitional/Big Kid Team, we will do assessments during this hour when the coaches are being trained. This is different from Little Lazers assessments, for which a sign up has already gone out from Coach Kathryn. If you're sure your kid is a Little Lazer, sign up for those assessments instead.    4. The swim team car wash is scheduled for that day, 11AM-1PM. As before, I still need a coordinator! If you are interested, please email me. This is a light lift (I've already secured the venue, and we have volunteer sign up geniuses that merely need to be updated.) Mainly, you get set up and wrangle the volunteers that day. I can directly express a benefit to someone who volunteers to be a coordinator, email me for details!
