Important Announcement! Pre- and Early-Season Tentative Schedule

    Dear Lazer families,

Hope you are staying warm. Coach Catherine has been hard at work this offseason thinking about the Lazers — and, in her spare time, training her 6-month-old daughter Charlotte to be legal in breaststroke and butterfly (Charlotte is almost ready!). Along the way, Coach Catherine also spent time reflecting on the best way to support the team and maximize performance moving forward. With that goal in mind, we’re excited to share that we will be moving to a Co-Head Coach structure, with Coach Natalie stepping into the role of Co-Head Coach alongside Coach Catherine. This structure allows both coaches to best support the team while also balancing coaching and parenting their little ones. Coach Natalie will continue to lead our Little Lazers and developmental programs, while also working closely with Coach Catherine to support the entire team and help design our overall program. We’re thrilled about this new structure and grateful for Coach Natalie’s willingness to take on an expanded leadership role.

Here’s an overview of how the coaching structure will work:

    • Coach Catherine & Coach Natalie will jointly oversee the entire Lazers program, including season planning, team structure, and swimmer development.
    • Coach Catherine will oversee coach management, competitive training, and meet preparation, ensuring consistency across all training groups.
    • Coach Natalie will continue to lead Little Lazers and developmental programs, while also supporting age-group training across the team.
    • Both coaches will be present and accessible to swimmers and families, working together to ensure strong communication, continuity, a positive team culture, and joint decision-making.
    • All communication should be directed to both Catherine and Natalie at [email protected].

Coach Natalie previously served as Head Coach for the Forest Hollow Swim Team from 2016–2019, so she brings a wealth of experience to this role. We are incredibly fortunate to have two experienced coaches leading the Lazers. In addition, both coaches are education professionals — Catherine is a Professional School Counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling, and Natalie is an Elementary School Psychologist — which further strengthens their ability to support and develop your swimmers. We’re very excited about this next chapter for the Lazers and look forward to a great season ahead.
