summer 2026 coaches welcome and info

Happy day before the pool opening to all who celebrate and hello to all of our Lincolnia swim team family!!

Catherine and I are very excited for this swim season and wanted to send a few notes (4 information points) that are things that will help make the very busy very fast swim season feel both clear and collaborative which are always our goals.

    1. I am attaching calendars for June and July that we are hoping can make families lives easier with having the visual of when practices and meets are. We can make adjustments as we go obviously if any changes, but the baseline events should stay steady obviously with exception of weather cancellations.

    2. There are 2 kinds of meets throughout the season: A meets and B meets

A few big pictures notes for both to keep in mind ALL season:

    • A meets: are on Saturday’s and are based on time qualifications. Not all swimmers will participate. However, a big part of making prep for them running smoothly is to know who could be available to swim if needed. So, when it comes to Swimtopia info: if your child could swim on Saturday morning if we needed them, please always hit: “attending” in Swimtopia. It does not mean they will for sure swim but does mean that if we needed them even last minute you would be available and willing to join us.
      • as far as number events that a swimmer can do at an A meet if they qualify: 2 individual events and relays
    • B meets: are on Monday evening and all swimmers are invited to attend. Please mark “attending” in Swimptopia if you for sure will be there at the meet and your swimmer will participate.
      • as far as number events that a swimmer can do at a B meet: maximum of 2 events and IM
      • if you place 1-3 in an A meet you cannot swim that same event at the next B meet

    3. It takes a TON of volunteers to a run both kinds of meets, so please make sure at least one adult per family is volunteering at meets unless there are extenuating circumstances. There are lots of different roles you can get involved in with at the meets (ex: timers, help with food, clerk of course, photo help..) with whatever you are comfortable with/into. So just know we need help, we are so thankful for your time and energy, and it’s all in an effort to keep things fun and happy for your swimmer(s).

    4. We want to hear from you! As the season starts, progresses, and ends we want your feedback, to know about your goals for your swimmers, and anything we can do to help make it the best summer ever for all. Please don’t hesitate to email us at any time! [email protected]

    All the best,

Your devoted head LPRC Lazer coaches-
