Transitionals info and June 6 evaluation sign up

At LPRC we are a swim team who teaches kids to swim at any age. So if you have a kiddo who is 10 for example and has never swam before or knows a little about swimming but not everything about all 4 strokes we want to teach them!

We have a lane for transitional swimmers at practices for ages 9-13. They are a member of the full team. It is meant to act as a bridge for kids who may not have the stamina or experience to keep up in their age group practice yet. Key word being yet! The goal is still to get them there. :)

Another example related to this topic with ages here is if your child is 6 but is no longer a little lazer they are an 8 and under. There is not transitionals for 8 and unders. We recognize swimmers in that range automatically have a lot of variability with what they can do and we adjust instruction at practice accordingly.

If you are not sure if your swimmer should swim with their age group or should be in a transitional lane or if they should move out of little lazers level 5 please sign up with this Google form and come to the pool on Saturday June 6 at 8 to get coaches input on this decision. Keep in mind sometimes it makes sense to start as a transitional and your swimmer may progress and go into their age group lane as summer goes on. And if you have questions about your swimmer that it makes sense to chat over email about prior to the evaluation day please reach out! [email protected]

So who should be signing up for June 6 evaluations at 8:00 AM:

-if your child has been swimming little lazers level 5 for awhile or you are coming from another swim program and you are not sure if they are ready for 8 and under practice

-if your child is between the ages 9-13 and you are wondering if they may not have the stamina or previous swimming experience to keep up with their age group yet https://forms.gle/wA3Wke4MkuQsvtPW6
