Hi everyone,

All practices are cancelled this morning. Sorry, but the air quality according to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality is Maroon, which is classified as hazardous. This is the worst possible level of air quality, so we can't have the kids swimming or the coaches out standing in it for hours.

As far as we know, the meet will still happen tomorrow. (The air quality prediction is for yellow, which is 4 levels better.) This is a winnable meet but only if everyone who is scheduled to swim shows up, so please still plan on swimming. Remember, we're honoring our seniors tomorrow, so please come and send them out on a win and a Division Championship!

Watch for further announcements concerning the pep rally tonight. We will monitor air quality and make a determination later; typically at these levels NV Pools closes its pools for the safety of its staff, but there are several hours until opening before that decision has to be made.
