Latest Lazer News - Week 2 edition!

The Lazers have started off hot this season. On Saturday's meet vs. Daventry 60 Personal Bests were accomplished and then last night vs North Springfield we blew that record out of the water with 89 Personal Bests! On top of that we have had many swimmers try new strokes, swim up and get their first legal times. Why is all this important? Because this is why they practice and we volunteer - to see them be great teammates, improve their times and have a ton fun doing it! Remember if your swimmer disqualified, use this line to encourage them: "A DQ just means there is more work to do!" Ribbons are usually handed out on Tuesdays. Remember every Lazer that swims on Saturday should wear a Lazer swim cap. If you need one, email Shaela HERE to purchase one for $12. If you have a swimmer who would like to perform the Star Spangled Banner, please email Anne HERE to audition.

Please continue to help us by letting us know as soon as you do if your child will be "Attending" or "Not Attending" a meet or event and how you can volunteer. You can go HERE now and sign up for all the remaining meets and events and be done with it! At our Fantastic Friday morning practices we ask 1 parent per practice to bring a snack for the kids to enjoy after they have practiced and played a game. Please sign up HERE ON THE SIGN UP GENIUS to bring a snack on one of the Fridays. Friday Night, all Lazers and their families- whether you are swimming Saturday or not need to break out your red, white and blue and come to our America Pot-luck Pep Rally. Everyone who comes brings food (see the event sign up to know what you should bring) but it is hosted by our 10&under families which means that they will do the jobs of decorating, setting up, serving and cleaning-up (sign up and let us know what you will do). We cancelled the Pancake Breakfast on Monday, July 4th but practice is on and donuts will be there so don't miss it! The schedule has been changed and updated so please look at it regularly!
